​​Gabriela Ruse entered the main draw of the “WTA 1000” tournament in Rome, the Romanian defeated Camilla Rahimova (90th place in the world ranking) in three sets.

Rousse, ranked 152 in the world, took three hours to overcome the player from Russia (6) 6-7, 6-3, 6-3.

  • Having entered the main draw, Gabriela secured a prize of 7,828 euros and 30 points in the WTA ranking.
  • Romania is also represented at the Foro Italico competition by Sorana Kirstia, Ana Bohdan (first round) and Iryna Begu (directly accepted in the second round).
