
OUR Christopher Nolan returns to the big screens with the highly anticipated film”Oppenheimerwhich just released a new trailer.
Biopic about physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer, set during World War II. Oppenheimer was one of the key figures in the Manhattan Project, an attempt to create the first nuclear weapon at the Los Alamos laboratory in New Mexico. In the role of Oppenheimer, we see Cillian Murphy (“Peaky Blinders”).
The new trailer, at just over three minutes long, gives us our first glimpse of some of the biggest names in filmmaking as well as some of the biggest names like Albert Einstein. All this led to the revolutionary and terrifying creation of the atomic bomb and what followed its release.
In addition to Murphy, Oppenheimer also features: Emily Blunt (Kitty Oppenheimer), Matt Damon (Lieutenant General Leslie Richard Groves J.), Robert Downey Jr. as Lewis Strauss, Jack Quaid as Richard Feynman, Gary Oldman as President Harry Shaw. Truman and others
As in his previous films, Nolan used practical effects here as well. The popular director explained that he avoided using CGI for a nuclear explosion. “We looked for ways to make many of the film’s visual elements practical, from introducing quantum dynamics and quantum physics to the Trinity test itself and setting up the Los Alamos laboratory.”
Oppenheimer, which will hit theaters on July 21, 2023, is nearly three hours long, making it the director’s longest-running project.
