
Emergency Inspection teams have found the body of a second man who was declared missing after a boat carrying 12 people capsized last Sunday in the Mures River in the Periam district of Timiş County, News.ro reports. Two children are considered missing – a girl and a boy aged 7 and 10.
The man’s body was found in the area of the town of Igrish in the county of Timișoara, not far from where the body of another missing man was found on Friday.
“The body of an adult male was identified on the Mures River, in the Vadul Vachi district, near the town of Igris,” ISU Timiş reported on Sunday.
The man should be brought to the shore and identified according to the established procedure.
Two children are considered missing – a girl and a boy aged 7 and 10. The search for them continues.
A boat with 12 people on board capsized last Sunday in the Mures River, in the Periam Port area of Timiş County. Seven people managed to escape, but a 4-year-old child died. Firefighters and divers have been searching for four more people, two children and two adults.
The boat driver was detained for 24 hours but released on a manslaughter charge. His boat was not registered and he did not have a driver’s license. The man also drank alcohol.
