“The aggressor state chooses symbolic data for its challenges. The Russian special services can prepare them until May 9 on the territory of the Russian Federation and Belarus,” Andriy Yusov, spokesman for the intelligence of the Ministry of Defense, told Ukrinform.

Yusov added that since 2014, when Russia illegally annexed the Ukrainian peninsula of Crimea, Moscow has been using this strategy around the anniversary of the defeat of the Third Reich.

“Challenges of the Russian special services may be directed against the civilian population of Russia on important dates, for example, May 9,” Yusov warned.

The surrender of the Third Reich was signed in Karlshorst, on the outskirts of Berlin, on the night of May 8-9, 1945, a few days after the suicide of Adolf Hitler and his wife Eva Braun in their bunker on April 30. .

Germany and many other European countries celebrate the end of the world fire on the Old Continent on May 8, and Russia continues the tradition of the Soviet Union by celebrating the anniversary on May 9.
