Google plans to make its search engine “more visual, more engaging, more personal and more human” with a focus on serving young people around the world, the Wall Street Journal reported on Saturday, citing documents, Reuters reported.
The move comes as artificial intelligence (AI) applications such as ChatGPT are rapidly gaining traction, highlighting technology that could change the way businesses and society operate.
The tech giant will ditch the “10 Blue Links” service, which is the traditional format for presenting search results, and plans to include more human voices as part of the change, the report said.
At its annual I/O developer conference next week, Google is expected to release new features that will allow users to interact with an artificial intelligence program, a project codenamed “Magi,” the WSJ added, citing people familiar with the matter.
Generative AI has become a buzzword this year as the software captures the public’s imagination and creates a rush among companies to launch similar products that they believe will change the way work is done. (News.ro)
