Following the issuance of the decree reported by Mr. Kougias, Rula Pispirigou, who on trial for attempted murder and manslaughter of Georgina, now also awaiting determination of her trial by a Joint Jury in respect of two other deaths.

The 34-year-old mother is also temporarily detained in the second criminal case brought against her, which finds her guilty of the death of 3.5-year-old Malena on April 13, 2019 in Aglaya Kyriakou, where she was hospitalized after successfully treating lymphadenitis and her six-month-old Iris, who , according to the judicial authorities, was killed on March 21, 2021 in her crib.

Mr. Iliadis received a flurry of questions from Mr. Kougia, who believes, as he told him, that the witness was “trying to make Rula Pispiriga a defendant with Munchausen syndrome” from the very beginning. In fact, when the lawyer announced that the doctor was losing his license, the president intervened by calling the lawyer back to class.

Mr. Kougias focused his questions on the controversial syndrome, as well as on the actions taken by Mr. Iliadis in search of the possibility that the mother was suffering. The doctor testified that he had recommended that the 34-year-old see a hospital psychiatrist.
