
A 60-year-old man was detained in connection with a traffic jam in the morning hours of Friday (28/4) by the crew of an immediate patrol car in cooperation with the police officers of the Chaidari Attic Security Department. Office, for attempted rape, kidnapping and unlawful violence.
In particular, early on Friday morning, a 60-year-old man, after contacting a woman at a medical services store in the Drapetsona area, offered to take her home in his car when they left.
After the victim got into the car, the accused proceeded along the route towards his house, simultaneously blocking the fuses of the car, as a result of which the woman could not escape.
Upon arrival at his house in the car park in the Haidari district, the 60-year-old man forced the woman to enter and locked the door, depriving her of her freedom.
While the victim was trying to escape, the defendant prevented her by attacking her, while he himself tried to rape her.
After that, the woman was able to free herself and, with the help of a passing truck driver, was informed to the Emergency Center.
An immediate patrol car and Haidari Security Police immediately arrived at the scene and, using the information provided by the victims, sought out and located the detained accused.
The detainee was taken to the criminal prosecutor’s office in Athens.
