Firefighters and divers failed to recover the bodies of two missing children and two adults Sunday night after the boat they were in capsized. The crews have withdrawn to the base, and the search will resume on Wednesday morning, News.ro reports.

“At the moment, 4 missing persons, two children and two adults, have not been found. This evening, starting at 19:00, the diving crews withdrew to the base. Two search and rescue teams from ISU Timiş and ISU Arad will continue the mission on the surface throughout the night,” ISU Timiş said on Tuesday evening.

The search will be resumed on Wednesday morning by the forces and means of each operative unit from 08:00.

During Tuesday, around 30 firefighters and several teams of divers intervened in the search for four missing people, two children and two adults, in the waters of the Mures River after the boat they were on capsized on Sunday evening. A helicopter intervened in support. They also asked for support and began searches on the territory of Hungary.

A boat carrying 12 people capsized on Sunday evening on the Mures River, in the Periam Port area of ​​Timiş County. Seven people managed to escape, and a 3-year-old child was pronounced dead. Firefighters and divers are still searching for four more people, two children and two adults.

The boat driver was detained for 24 hours but released on a manslaughter charge. His boat was not registered and he did not have a driver’s license. The man also drank alcohol.
