Scholz also said at a public event in Bendorf, Rhineland-Palatinate, that other Western arms suppliers have set similar rules for Ukraine.

The Chancellor of Germany emphasized the need to provide Kiev with the necessary assistance from Western countries, but at the same time warned that everything must be done to prevent a war between Russia and NATO.

Western partners of Ukraine, which provide it with military assistance to counter Russian aggression, regularly emphasize that they do not support strikes on Russian territory, especially with the use of weapons supplied by them, Unian notes, recalling that the United States has especially emphasized that it respects Ukraine’s decisions on the battlefield , but does not approve of strikes on the territory of Russia.

At the same time, Washington declared that the destruction of some targets in Crimea is legal, since Moscow illegally annexed this territory, which rightfully belongs to Ukraine.
