Dutch police announced on Monday that they had arrested a man last weekend who had a fake driver’s license in the name of Boris Johnson after a crash that was allegedly caused by his drunkenness, France-Presse and Agerpres reported.
The document, issued in Ukraine in 2019 and valid until the end of 3000, showed the name, photo and date of birth of the former Prime Minister of Great Britain.
He was found after an accident after midnight on Sunday, during which the car crashed into a pole in the city of Groningen (North Holland).
“Unfortunately for him, I didn’t fall into the trap,” the cop joked on Instagram.

The car was abandoned, but police quickly found the driver, who refused to take a breathalyzer test.
A 35-year-old man from Südhorn, west of Groningen, was arrested.
The Dutch police did not specify where the fake license was made, but according to journalist Kisi Hexter from the Dutch public broadcaster NOS and a former correspondent in Russia, such permits can be bought very easily in tourist boutiques in Ukraine.
This is ridiculous. You can buy these fake Boris Johnson driver’s licenses at tchotchke kiosks in Kyiv metro or street markets in Lviv. They also have other world leaders. https://t.co/1LHHErXqxl
