The Plenary meeting of the JCC, to which the opinion was presented, decided to immediately call the OSE and Hellenic Train to hearings to verify the alleged violations, and after the completion of the hearing process, the final decision of the JCC on the Tempe accident will be made. .

This will include in detail the alleged violations of railway legislation and the imposition of appropriate sanctions. According to the information, the hearing will also consider emergency temporary measures by which the RAS ordered the OSE not to hire 78 candidates for station chiefs, in respect of which there were signs of incomplete and insufficient training. Stationmaster Larisa, who had a fatal accident in Tempi, also participated in this training cycle.

It is significant that in terms of the ESE, the service detects a violation in the process of training station chiefs, as well as the head of the station Larisa, as well as a violation of the articles on handling the change of path, which is reflected in the General Rules of the Road of March 2019 (Article 5) . At the same time, a violation of the traffic rules for the departure or passage of trains from stations was established, which mentions the duties of the head of the station in preparing the route (Article 117).

According to the information, the authorities emphasize that the work should be accelerated and the remote control system should be implemented, while deeming the work of the Hellenic Railway Accident Investigation Department to be necessary, the absence of which creates security risks.
