Canadian Bianca Andreescu (27 WTA) left the “WTA “1000” tournament in Madrid, losing in the second round to China’s Xia Wang with a score of 3-6, 7-6(5), 6-2.

Bianca Andreescu lost to Xiu Wang at the WTA in Madrid

The first set was under the control of the former US Open 2019 winner, who managed to defeat the player from China.

The 23rd seed Andreescu could have wrapped up the match in the second set, but Wang managed to send him to a tie-break where he won 7-5 after missing three serves from the Canadian.

In the decisive match, the player from China won a decisive advantage and made one of the surprises of the second round of WTA Madrid.

In the third round, Xiu Wang (65 WTA) will meet Barbora Krejcikova (12 WTA), the 11th favorite of the tournament.
