OUR GSEE calls for mass participation in the May Day strike rallies to be held next Monday May 1 across the country.
In Athens, the GSEE meeting and Athens Labor Center will be at 11 am at Klafmonos Square.
May 1 is not only a day of memory and honors for the pioneer fighters of the working class, but also a day of struggle and strike of workers.
“May Day 2023 continues to force the country’s workers to face precision, unemployment, social poverty, limited labor rights, instability and insecurity in the workplace. That is why we are fighting for a present and a future without precision, social poverty, job insecurity and inequality. On this historic day, we join the voice of all those who fight against poverty and impoverishment, injustice, discrimination, violation of democratic, labor, economic and insurance rights. It is imperative that we all come out with the union call on Monday May 1st to strike,” the GSEE said in a statement.
