The Ministry of Defense, for its part, reported on Twitter that the remains of an “unrecognizable military object” were found in the vicinity of the village of Zamosc near Bydgoszcz.
“The situation does not threaten the safety of residents. The site of the find is being investigated by Polish officers and military police, the agency said. The area where the object was found is hundreds of kilometers from Poland’s borders with Ukraine, Belarus and the Russian enclave of Kaliningrad, Reuters notes.

The first assumption about an unidentified object discovered in Poland
Military police, regional police, the mayor of Zamosc, the Gdańsk prosecutor’s office and a government spokesman declined to comment further.
Polish radio station RMF FM later reported that the object was a surface-to-air missile several meters long, citing “unofficial sources”.
Last November, an air defense missile fired by Ukrainian forces crashed in Poland, killing two people and sparking fears of a sharp escalation in the war after initial reports suggested it was a Russian missile.
However, the detection area of the unidentified military object now looks too far from the border between Ukraine and Poland to be a new stray missile, but this hypothesis cannot be completely ruled out.
