A 46-year-old foreigner has been arrested in Sweden for breaking into five safes in a bank store in Nea Smyrni.

From the Office of the Property Crime Prosecutor of the Attica Security Authority after investigating the case of the theft of five safety deposit boxes that took place on 07/08/2022 in a bank branch in Nea Smyrni and the identification of three foreigners aged 46, 42 and 46, against whom proceedings were initiated for the creation and accession into a criminal organization and cases of embezzlement were singled out, the necessary measures were taken to issue European warrants for the arrest of members of the criminal group.

In accordance with the above warrant and after cooperation with the competent authorities, the 46-year-old foreigner was identified on November 4, 2023 and arrested by the Swedish authorities in Sweden as a member of a criminal organization.
