8% progress in 8 months of the construction site – work on the 21 kilometers of the first section of the “Moldova” A7 motorway, from Dumbrava (A3) to Mizil, seems to be moving forward, and the association under the leadership of the Italian Developer will not have time to meet the contractual deadline, warns the Pro Association Infrastructure.

On kilometer 21 of the A7 Dumbrava-Mizil highway, practically the first numbered section of the A7 “Moldova” highway from Ploiesti (A3/Dumbrava) to Siret, “the physical progress turns around 8%, maybe up to 10% with great indulgence,” the Association writes Pro Infrastructure, which presents a complete aerial view of the entire site.

Autostrada A7 Dumbrava (A3) – Mizil – “It is certain that the contractual deadline of April 2024 will be exceeded”

The Association reminds that in the case of the Dumbrava (A3) – Mizil section, a contract worth about 1.5 billion lei was signed with Impresa Pizzarotti Association (Italy) – Retter Projectmanagement (Romania) on June 16, 2022 from the beginning. the order was issued on 22.08.2022 and the term of immediate execution (without registration) is 20 months.

“There is no doubt that the contractual deadline, April 2024, will be exceeded. To respect the Pizzarotti-Retter combination, it must have an average monthly rate of about 17%. That’s about 7 times the execution speed. A dream,” writes Pro Infrastructure.

“It’s a shame that there were more archaeologists on the large archaeological dump near Mizil than construction equipment on the entire site”

“Grain plots and sedge are still growing on the construction site, embankments rarely exceed a meter above the natural terrain, and you will hardly find bridges or passages that have come out of the ground. We know, we filmed on Saturday, but it’s a shame that more archaeologists were moving on the large archaeological dump near Mizil than construction machines on the entire site,” the association notes.

“Pardon our sarcasm in the previous paragraph, but the ‘mobilisation’ of two contractors is totally unacceptable when any slight delay means loss of lives on DN2, the deadliest road in the country. We hope that the fruitless debate with CNAIR officials about structural optimization has ended and they get serious about getting us up and running in December 2024: ~85% in 20 months, 4.25% monthly. Are we asking too much?!”, Pro Infrastructura also notes.
