Today, three people, a man and two women, were brought to the prosecutor’s office of the first instance of Chalkida on charges of committing robbery with aiding against a 91-year-old man who was beaten to take away 80 euros from him.

According to ERT, the incident occurred last Monday (24/4), when a 37-year-old Roma and two women saw the 91-year-old in the courtyard of their house and asked him for a glass of water. . He, not understanding their motives, opened the door for them, and they asked him to give them all the money he had in the house. The old man gave them 80 euros, but they did not believe that this was all he had and started beating him. Finally, realizing that he had no more money, they left.

The next day, the alleged perpetrators were detained by the police of the Chalkis Security Department and the B.O.P.K.E. the same Service.

The elderly man was taken to Chalkida General Hospital, where he was treated and left.

It is noted that the 37-year-old detainee was previously involved by the prosecutor’s office, for committing similar crimes, and restrictive measures were assigned to him.

The detainees, against whom a criminal case has been initiated, will be taken to the Prosecutor’s Office of the First Instance of Chalkis today.
