The mayor of the capital made the announcement on Europa FM on Monday evening, talking about the repair of the capital’s heating network, noting that the problems are far from being resolved.

“It is unrealistic to take a heating network with debts of 100 million and bring it to a billion euros – it is unrealistic, and then to bring it to bankruptcy – this was before my mandate. Problems are not solved overnight. There are some mathematical indicators that tell whether it is better or not, and they are proportional to how much water you lose in the network,” Nikushor Dan said.

He believes that last winter was better than last, but “you can’t solve the problem if you don’t take money there”:

What’s happening today: it’s a phenomenon that happens when the heating plant is turned on and when it is turned off, because the moment you turn it on, the pressure is higher, and the higher pressure on the 40-50-60-year-old… the old network is slapped in several places What happens when you stop: you need to bring this heat for hot water from somewhere else, and in other segments you create a pressure difference. According to statistics, the most accidents occur in October, depending on the year, as well as in March and April.”

Chief Edil added that “we installed that temporary plant from Titan for three years, which will balance the system.”

Nikushor Dan also spoke about the renovation plans for 2023: “It may happen that there is no hot water for a week, because the distance is so great that you do not have the technical possibility to bring hot water.” (full interview on Europa FM)
