“Happy birthday. I’m doing well, I wish the same for you.” With this message on his Facebook page, Mr. Dionysius Savvopoulos responded to comments and wishes for a speedy recovery after discharge from the hospital.

The 78-year-old songwriter has been hospitalized for the past few days after contracting the coronavirus for the second time.

“Dionysus Savvopoulos was hospitalized for several days with coronavirus and is currently at home. Thank you for your interest and love,” wrote the administrators of his Facebook page.

“He also thanks the doctors and nursing staff of HYGEIA and MITERA who have been by his side throughout his hospitalization. Note: This is the second time he has tested positive for coronavirus. The first one was in December 2022.”
