Tomorrow 12 defendants will apologize for murder of 19-year-old Alkis Campanos. At noon, the examination of defense witnesses was completed, after which the chairman of the mixed jury in Thessaloniki declared the trial adjourned.
The last witness to be questioned was an expert laboratory assistant who was assigned to prepare technical reports on behalf of the three defendants (1st, 6th and 12th), describing in a timely manner their movements and positions in relation to the event in question.
Based on an analysis of surveillance footage and amateur footage found in the case file, the witness, a computer engineer, “placed” specific defendants away from the crime scene.
By comparing this material over time and determining their positions, he came to the conclusion that they did not come close to the killer’s point of view. With regard to the documentation of this position, and in particular in the case of the 12th defendant, he analyzed the data of the navigation device that the car he was driving had and determined its movement.
