The National Hydrometeorological Service has released information on temporary increased atmospheric instability and increased wind for the period from Monday 16:00 to Wednesday 22:00.
According to meteorologists, atmospheric instability will increase during the specified period: Monday evening and the night from Monday to Tuesday (April 24/25) in the western half of the territory, during Tuesday in most of the country, and on Wednesday – especially in the south and east . There will be showers, which will also have a downpour character, in places there will be electrical discharges and isolated hail.
In the short term or through accumulation, the amount of water will be 15…25 l/sq.m., and especially in mountainous areas, in prohibited areas, more than 30…40 l/sq.m.
In most regions, the wind will temporarily increase with a speed of, in general, 45…55 km/h. In the highlands, especially on Wednesday, squalls will exceed 70…80 km/h, precipitation in the form of sleet and snow will occur.
Such phenomena will be in the afternoon of Monday in prohibited areas in the northern half of Moldova, as well as in mountain and mountain areas, ANM reports.
