Kyren Wilson suffered a heavy defeat against John Higgins at CM Snooker

A four-time Crucible winner (1998, 2007, 2009 and 2011), Higgins got off to a great start (breaks of 136, 137 and 134) to take a 10-0 lead.

Kyren avoided a whitewash, but the Wishaw Wizard wrapped up the clash before the final session: 13-2.

Know:

  • In the quarters, John Higgins will face the winner of the match between Gary Wilson (16) and Mark Selby (2). Selby leads 10-6 after two sessions.
  • Kyren Wilson made the maximum break (147) in the first meeting of the Crucible with Ryan Day.

How to play at the World Snooker Championship

  • The second round is a “best of 25 shots” rule, the same as in the quarters.
  • In the semi-finals, the winner will be determined by the “best of 33 shots” system. Finally, in the grand final, the winner will be decided after the “best of 35 frames”.

How it will be in the final

  • There will be 8 frames in the first session of the final. The second session will consist of 9 frames, the third of 8 frames. Finally, the final session will have a maximum of 10 frames (may or may not all be played, depending on the score on the table).

Second place: £200,000

Semi-Final: £100,000

Quarters: £50,000

Second round: £30,000

First round: £20,000.
