On Monday, a drone attack was carried out on the Crimean port city of Sevastopol, which was repelled by the Russian navy, the city’s pro-Russian governor Mykhailo Razvozhaev said, as quoted by CNN and Reuters.
The attack was supposed to take place at 03:30.
“One ground drone was destroyed, the second exploded by itself (…) No structures were damaged, all forces and response groups are on alert. The city is calm now,” the governor of Crimea wrote in Telegram.

These drone attacks are usually attributed to Ukrainians, although Kyiv does not officially recognize them.
Crimea has been under Russian occupation since February 2014 and was annexed by Moscow the following month after a mock referendum – a move the international world condemned as an illegal land grab.
