They were detained on Friday morning as part of spontaneous processtwo men for perjury and grand theftand two of their accomplices are still being sought, one of whom is accused of attempted murder.

Under the guise of repairing the elevator, the attackers entered an apartment in Nea Smyrni, from where they took out a bag with props and jewelry.

They then left, getting into a car, but their movements were noticed by a neighbor who informed the Emergency Services.

The police found them driving a vehicle in the Kallithea area, but they did not obey the posted stop sign, while the driver of the vehicle unsuccessfully tried to ram a patrol caras the crew performed an evasive maneuver.

They then abandoned the car nearby and fled on foot, but the police managed to catch them. immobilize two of them. In fact, two of those arrested while trying to escape were wounded in the legs, as was one of the police officers.

The security department of Nea Smyrni, which is conducting the relevant preliminary investigation, confiscated the bag containing the jewels attributed to the owner, the wallet and the said vehicle.

Those arrested will be taken to the competent prosecutor’s office.
