The Glyfada Security Department dismantled a criminal group whose members committed robberies with the use or threat of physical violence against pedestrians in the Glyfada area.
In particular, in the early morning of yesterday Wednesday (19.04), the police officers of the DI.AS team. South-East Attica The Attica Direct Action Directorate, upon immediate mobilization, located and arrested four people in Alimos who were wanted for a robbery committed shortly before.
We are talking about a 21-year-old citizen and three foreigners aged 16, 17 and 18, who, together with a 16-year-old wanted citizen, took away from a pedestrian, using physical force, his wallet, which contained the amount of money and personal documents.
As a result of the searches carried out in the car in which the persons were traveling, as well as from them, among other things, a full face and a seized wallet with 50 euros attributed to the victim were found and seized.
It was established that the defendants formed a gang that committed robberies against pedestrians, during which they did not hesitate to use violence, in order to extort money, valuables and other items from them.
As a result of the subsequent preliminary investigation carried out by the Glyfada Security Department, two more cases of robbery were identified involving a 21-year-old teenager who, in the evening hours of April 16, 2023 in Glyfada, together with two other members of the criminal group, approached two 20-year-old citizens and, after immobilizing them, using physical violence against them and threatening to use a knife, took away the amount of 150 euros.
Also, in the evening hours of April 13, 2023, in Glyfada, together with two other members of the criminal group, they approached three minors and, threatening with physical violence, took away a sum of money, a jacket and a watch.
The arrested persons, with a criminal case brought against them for gang formation and robbery in continuation and in complicity, were brought before Mr. Criminal Prosecutor of Athens, who handed them over to the investigator.
