A few days ago, a “high-profile” indictment was submitted to the Attorney General’s Office in Athens by the Extortion Prosecutor’s Office, which reportedly concerns an investigation into one of the largest criminal organizations, in which police officers were allegedly involved.

According to the information, this case, which recorded serious crimes such as extortion, fraud, usury, forgery, weapons, drugs and money laundering.

The same information states that the investigation by the authorities lasted two years, and after the filing of the case file, the issuance of an arrest warrant is expected.

Due to the seriousness of the case and the involvement of subgroups of many police officers, the Hellenic Police Department of the Interior was immediately informed.
