A 24-year-old man was arrested on a warrant on Easter Tuesday for attempted murder, damaging foreign property, violating gun laws and beating officers.

After the arrest of a 24-year-old man, who was taken to the prosecutor’s office, a pistol was found near his house, with which he allegedly committed the above criminal acts. It was found to be a service pistol stolen in January from a policeman’s house in Iliupoli.

With regard to the chronology of the case, on the evening of Maundy Thursday, a 24-year-old man, along with two co-defendants aged 28 and 24, fired at a car in which a 32-year-old man was traveling with his wife and minor children near a gas station in Ano Liosia.

After that, although there were no injuries as a result of the shooting, the 32-year-old man fled the scene in his car, and the perpetrators pursued him in their car.

During a two-car “chase” on Phyllis Avenue, the perpetrators’ car collided with a stopped patrol car, causing them to flee.

After the mobilization of forces, the area is patrolled by OPKE police officers. they found a car that had previously been hit by shots in Ano Liosia.

A fireball was found in the passenger compartment in the luggage compartment, and three cartridge cases were seized from the shooting site.

As a result of the investigation of the case, it turned out that the 32-year-old driver left with the 34-year-old man a few hours before the above incident and fired a shotgun near the 28-year-old man’s house. ELAS collected four shell casings from the spot.

Because of the aforementioned attack, a 32-year-old man was arrested on Good Friday (April 14) for damaging foreign property and violating gun laws.
