The mayors of Garchyna and Tazlau communes, elected by PMP and USR, respectively, have become coordinators of local PNL organizations without joining the liberal branch, PNL president Neamts George Lazar said on Wednesday.

In the local elections in 2024, both mayors will run for a new mandate from the PNL.

“The association of other mayors with the PNL shows that the PNL is the main right-wing party in Neamt county and in Romania. There are other mayors who will join the PNL,” said PNL President George George Lazara, according to Agerpres.

PNL leader Neamts added that the branch’s political goal in 2024 is to win the presidency of the district council and most of the town halls in the district.

Georgy Lazar said that since the beginning of the year, more than 300 new members have joined the PNL Neamts, and in the near future, other local elected officials will join the liberal team.
