The Hellenic Banks Association has decided in favor of canceling loan obligations for the families of the victims of the deadly train collision in Tempe.

In accordance with the letter from the President of the Hellenic Banking Union on the will of its member banks to cancel credit obligations under housing or personal loan agreements (cards – consumer), for families of victims of the Tempe accident (husband, adult or minor children, parents), EET provides beneficiaries with the opportunity to submit , until September 15, 2023corresponding email request [email protected].

The request must be marked as a RECIPIENT and contain:

a) full details of the applicant (name, surname, VAT and DOU, PDT number, residential address, any email address, contact telephone number, bank or cooperative banks, origin/type of debt)

b) Certificate of next of kin.

c) an act of registration of the death of the deceased.

d) any available evidence from a public authority that shows that the applicant is subject to the protections of article 57 of Law 5039/2023, such as, for example, debt relief from AADE, application for the award of a pension.

e) If the application is submitted through a proxy, electronic authorization through the application gov.gr from the applicant to his proxy, as well as the contact details of the applicant and his proxy indicated above in accordance with paragraph a.

f) Express statement of the applicant that he agrees with the receipt and transmission of his application and supporting documents attached to it by the EET to the Bank or Banks of his cooperation, as well as with further processing of his request by the Bank / s and subsequent communication of the Bank with the beneficiary .

g) if the applicant is a minor, the application must be submitted by his legal representative.
