
Targeted police actions were carried out from 14 to 18 April as part of the implementation of the Greek Police Headquarters Strategic Planning for the Prevention and Control of Crime and Crime, including in connection with the Easter holiday season.
According to the ELAS report, the actions took place throughout the territory with the participation of police officers from various services and with a special focus on areas where there is an increased level of crime.
-121 arrests for various offenses and violations of the Criminal Code,
-1186 additions,
-153 vehicle confiscations and
-219 vehicle immobilizations.
At the same time, 2862 violations of the Criminal Code were confirmed. and 46 violations of anti-smoking laws.
In Attica, action was concentrated in Acharnes, Zephyri and Agia Varvara with 117 police officers from the Order, Security, Traffic, Immediate Action, DI.AS and OPKE groups.
In the above areas, 238 people and 97 vehicles were checked, while 2 people were detained for theft, 47 people were brought in, and 18 violations of the Code of Conduct were confirmed.
As ELAS points out in a related statement, “targeted police action aimed at preventing and suppressing crime and improving the safety of citizens will continue at an unabated pace.”
