On Easter Monday evening, EL.AS officials handcuffed two people who broke into a car in Kamatero after a wild chase in two different parts of Athens.

It all started yesterday at 10:30 pm on Anapausesos Street in Kamatero, when three people broke into the car of a 22-year-old Albanian man, stole the audio system from the inside and fled in their own car, in which they left. to the stage.

The police of Agios Anargyros were immediately notified and began to carry out checks in Kamatero, as well as in other areas, to identify the perpetrators.

The OPKE police officers noticed the car in which the robbery was committed, moving in the Ano Liosia area.

The officers signaled the passengers to stop the car, but they sped off and a chase ensued. The criminals left the car at the intersection of Karavias and Kunduru streets in the camp at the Ano Liosia railway station and fled on foot.

Soldiers of the OPKE group got out of the patrol car and chased after them. Soon one was arrested. This is a 25-year-old man who was found to have been convicted by the one-man Court of Criminal Appeals in Athens with a 7-year prison term for robbery and possession of weapons and explosives.

The police continued their investigation and also found the 43-year-old offender in a car in the Fili area. He was accompanied by another person as a passenger. As soon as the two men saw the patrol car, the driver turned the car perpendicular to the road, preventing arrest, and the passenger opened the door and drove off.
