A little girl has been affected by an outbreak in the village of Malona in Rhodes.

The incident was condemned in a statement from the community of Malonas by Nektarios Mustakellis, which reads as follows:

“Today, a 7-year-old child will not carry his candle to Sunday… Today, this child will not break the red egg that he so wanted to make… Today, this child is suffering in the hospital with burns. ..Today and for several more years, the parents of this child will worry that traces may remain on his face … Why didn’t YOU think about your act yesterday or thought and said “quietly what will happen?” And yet it happened. Let’s think today that evil can happen. Yes, in custom. But it is safe for others and ours. Christ is risen!! Our thoughts will be with the little girl and her family.”
