​Mykhaela Kambei won three gold medals and set two European records in the weight category up to 49 kg at the European Weightlifting Championships in Yerevan (Armenia) on Saturday. In the category up to 45 kg, Kosmina Pana won two silver medals.

Mihaela Cambay, three-time European champion and two records

Cambay set European records in the jerk (92 kg) and the all-around (198 kg), and in the throw he finished with a weight of 106 kg.

Also, in the category up to 49 kg, Monica Chengeri missed all six attempts (84 kg in the jerk and 97 kg in the throw).

Cosmina Pănă, European silver in the javelin and sum

In the 45 kg category, Pane finished second in the clean and jerk (70 kg) and was fourth in the throw (83 kg). Thus, Kosmina won silver in the all-around (153 kg).

In the same category, Bianca Dumitrescu took 4th place in the javelin (67 kg) and finished 5th in the throw (81 kg) and overall (148 kg).

Romania is aiming to win four medals at the European Games in Yerevan, a qualifier for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
