The Greek Mission in Jerusalem received Holy Light Patriarch Theophilus III of Jerusalem.

After the ceremony of touching the Holy Light, Deputy Foreign Minister Andreas Katsaniotis posted a picture of the meeting with the Patriarch on his Twitter account.

“It is a great honor for me to appear as a representative of the Greek government in the Church of the Resurrection, to receive the Holy Light from the Jerusalem Patriarch Theophilos III and take him home with the news of the resurrection. Happy Easter to all Greek men and women around the world!” wrote Mr. Katsaniotis.

Arrival of Agios Photos at Athens airport “Eleftherios Venizelos” is expected at approximately 19:30 by AEGEAN aircraft. Then he will travel through the territory of Greece.

AEGEAN and Olympic Air planes will deliver the Holy Light to 8 destinations in Greece.
