Incident domestic violence took place on the evening of Maundy Thursday in Agios Panteleimonas.
A 52-year-old woman doused her 57-year-old husband with a flammable liquid, and immediately after that tried to burn him. The neighbors, who heard the voices, notified the ambulance, which rushed to the apartment on Mikhail Nomikov Street.
According to ERT, a 57-year-old man is being treated for serious burns at the Gennimatas hospital, where he was taken by ambulance.
The woman was arrested and charged with violating the law on domestic violence.
He is expected to be taken to the Criminal Prosecutor’s Office of Athens today.
