Football player Boris Kleiman, who is accused of raping a minor and possessing drugs, is going to appear before the investigator to apologize on Maundy Thursday.
The goalkeeper denies the charges against him, and his lawyer in his statements said that from the case file and from what the 17-year-old girl from Belgium complained about, there are no signs confirming the charge of rape.
The athlete was arrested early on Maundy Tuesday in Kolonaki because he allegedly raped a 17-year-old girl who had traveled from Belgium to Greece as part of a school trip.
The incident occurred at 14:00 in a store on Skouf Street. Together with the football player, they were taken to A.T. Syntagma and eight Belgians who were in the company of a 17-year-old boy and fell in love with an athlete. A folding knife 15 cm long was found in possession of an 18-year-old Belgian. He was also arrested, but was released on the oral order of the prosecutor.
The athlete was accused of rape, insulting the sexual dignity of a minor and the supply and storage of drugs for personal use, as he was found to have 1.5 grams of heroin.
Along with Kleiman, there was another Volos football player who did not participate in the incident, but was removed from the team.
