
Romanian gymnasts managed to take fifth place at the European Championships in Antalya, thanks to which they qualified for the autumn World Championships in Antwerp.

In this way, Romania managed to qualify both teams for the World Championship in Antwerp, from where the first 9 places will receive tickets for the 2024 Olympic Games.
The team consisting of Ana Maria Barbosa, Sabrina Maneca-Voinea, Amalia Gigoarte, Lilia Cosman and Andrea Preda scored 156.297 points (vaults – 39.899, bars – 39.032, bars – 38.033, floor – 39.333).
Gold medals were won by Great Britain – 164.428 points, silver – Italy – 161.629 points, Netherlands completed the podium – 158.896 points. Hungary took fourth place with 156.627 points.
Ana Barboso and Amalia Guigoarte reached the final of the individual compound. Berbosu earned a ninth qualifying score of 51.566 after 11.933 on vault, 13.600 on bars, 12.800 on beam and 13.233 on floor. Guigoarte was tenth with a score of 51.432, after 13.133 on vault, 12.766 on bars, 13.133 on beam and 12.400 on floor, writes Agerpres.
Sabrina Maneka-Vojnia qualified for the vault final with a fifth average score of 13.016 after 13.600 on the first vault and 12.433 on the second.
Ana Berbosu is the third reserve in the final on bars (13.600) and the first reserve on beam (12.800). Amalia Guigoarte reached the final on the beam with the fifth score – 13.133.
In the floor final, two representatives of Romania: Sabrina Maneca-Vojnia (second score in qualification – 13.700) and Ana Berbosu (seventh score – 13.233).
The gymnast will be accompanied to Turkey by coaches Gina Groza Gogean, Camelia Voinea, Corina Moroshan, Ramona Miku, Katelyn Meran and Patrick Keens.
The men’s compound finals are scheduled for Thursday, the women’s finals for Friday, and the event finals for Saturday and Sunday.
