TV star Kim Kardashian will star in the next season of FX’s American Horror Story, the show’s co-creator Ryan Murphy said on Monday, Reuters reported.
Kardashian will star alongside Emma Roberts in the 12th season of the series, which is based on the upcoming book “Delicate Condition.”
The novel, which is due out in August, is described in an online advertisement as “a thriller about a woman who is convinced that a sinister figure is doing everything in her power to ensure that her pregnancy is never carried to term”.
Author Andrea Bartz calls it “a feminist update of Rosemary’s Baby.”
In a statement, Murphy said that “American Horror Story” writer Hallie Pfeiffer has created a “fun, stylish and utterly terrifying role specifically for Kim, and this season is ambitious and unlike anything we’ve ever done.”
This was first reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
Kardashian became a pop culture phenomenon alongside her sisters on the reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians, which ended in 2021. The extended Kardashian family now appears in the Hulu series The Kardashians.
FX Network is owned by Walt Disney Co.
