Actress Monica Odaghiu, known for her participation in the talent show and her role in the film “Team Building”, was involved in a car accident on Sunday afternoon in the central district of the capital. The car she was driving hit a 35-year-old pedestrian, and it was not possible to save the man.

• “I had a tragic experience today where I was put in a situation where I had virtually no choice but to watch helplessly as a person died before my eyes, even though I tried to avoid this tragic event. I’m traumatized because I can’t forget those horrible moments when that man passed out, and I don’t wish that on anyone.

“On April 9 of this year, around 4:15 p.m., 112 received a report of a traffic accident on Știrbei Vodă Street. According to the first information, a 26-year-old woman was driving along Știrbei Vodă street from Calea Victoriei and in front of the STB Luterană station surprised and injured a 35-year-old man. According to the results of the road accident, the death of the pedestrian was confirmed, preliminary resuscitation measures were carried out,” the traffic police brigade of the capital police reported.

According to the first studies, the 35-year-old man would cross irregularly.

Monica Odaga was tested using an AlcoholTest device and also using a DrugTest device, the results were negative.

The police is conducting an investigation, establishing the reasons and conditions under which the traffic accident occurred.

Also, in this case, criminal proceedings have been opened for involuntary manslaughter.

In her first statements after the accident, Monica Odaghiu said that the pedestrian jumped out in front of the car.

“He threw himself in front of the car. He waited until I had nothing left to do and jumped in front of me,” she said, according to the Observer News.
