Multiple Grand Slam winner Boris Becker talks about his time in prison, how he lost his fortune and what he learned from all his recent experiences.

“Today I feel better after being in prison,” says Boris Bekker. The 231 days he spent in prison in Huntercombe (Oxfordshire) marked him and released him. Confessions of brutal honesty, in which there is no housekeeping at all, reveal the original Boom Boom, stripped of the gold leaf of the star.

In an interview recently published by Argentine daily La NaciĆ³n, he detailed how he lost his fortune, eventually being sentenced to two and a half years in prison by Southwark Crown Court for hiding his assets, declaring bankruptcy and defaulting on his debts

He was released on December 15, 2022, then deported to his home country, and will not be able to return to the UK until his initial detention period is over. The owner of 6 Grand Slam trophies, 55-year-old Boris Becker lives today in a reality that does not differ at all from the glorious times of his playing career.
