The Russian volunteer corps, allegedly fighting on the side of Ukraine, says that it “again carried out combat missions” in the Bryansk region and distributed leaflets to local residents, reports Ukrainian Pravda.
The governor of the Bryansk region of Russia, Oleksandr Bogomaz, said that the Russian armed forces did not allow a group of 20 saboteurs to enter the territory of Russia in the area of the village of Sluchovsk Pogarskyi, writes the Russian news agency “Interfax”, reports The Guardian.
According to the governor, units of the armed forces of the Russian Federation together with units of border troops destroyed “saboteurs” with firearms.
The claims have not been independently verified.
Later, the Russian volunteer corps wrote in Telegram that Bogomaz was lying.
The RVC “revisited” the Bryansk region, where the fighters had the opportunity to perform “combat tasks”, communicate with residents, distribute leaflets and “ask them to take shelter during hostilities”.
As proof, the Russian volunteers published a video in which their fighters communicate with the residents of the village of Sluchovsk and conduct combat operations there.

This is not the first time that the Russian volunteer corps has conducted combat missions here.
In a video published on the Internet, the Russian volunteer corps announced a terrorist attack committed at the beginning of March in the Bryansk region of Russia.
“The Russian volunteer corps entered the territory of the Russian Federation on March 2 to show their compatriots that there is hope that the free Russian people can fight against the regime” of President Vladimir Putin, the group said in a statement. Account in Telegram, reports “Ukrainian Pravda” publication and Unian press agency.
After Russian law enforcement officials reported a fight with a group of Ukrainian saboteurs in Bryansk on Thursday, the group says it does not fire on civilians or unarmed people.
The governor of the Bryansk region Oleksandr Bogomaz said on Monday night that the Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out drone attacks on objects in the regional capital.
However, some neutral observers of the war in Ukraine received his statements with skepticism.
First, the city of Bryansk, where the Russian governor said the attack took place, is likely to be out of range of most commercial drones, which the Ukrainian military uses to launch hand grenades and other homemade munitions.
Then, while more advanced models of commercial drones have the advantage of a thermal imaging camera, carrying out such an attack at night, from a long distance and against a city center (there is a danger of the drone getting caught on high-voltage cables) raises several technical problems.
