On Thursday, investigators are searching the house in Bucharest of former OTV boss Dan Diaconescu, who will be taken to the Constanta County Police for questioning, judicial sources told HotNews.ro.

Searches are carried out by police officers from the Constanta Criminal Investigation Bureau under the direction of a prosecutor from the Prosecutor’s Office of the Court of Constanta.

“On April 6, police officers of the Constanta Municipal Police – Bureau of Criminal Investigations, under the leadership of the prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of Constanta, conducted a search in the house of a 55-year-old man from Bucharest, in a file that reports on the criminal acts he is suspected of committing,” – reported the police of the district of Constanta, without specifying what criminal actions are involved.

Sources in the court told HotNews that the searches are taking place at the house of the former head of OTV, Dan Diaconescu, who is to be taken to the IPJ of Constanța for questioning.

Dan Diaconescu was jailed in March 2015 after being sentenced to five and a half years in prison for blackmail. In November 2017, Dan Diaconescu was released after the court finally decided on his parole.
