“The Embassy of Romania in The Hague has initiated official measures, as an emergency, with the Tilburg City Hall and with the accommodation house that allegedly canceled the reservation of the Romanian citizen, in order to obtain additional information and clarification on the reported situation. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs notes that, according to the information given to the embassy representatives by phone by the spokesperson of the Tilburg City Hall, on April 4, 2023, there was no agreement on the refusal to accommodate Romanian citizens and that there is no discrimination under any circumstances. form is allowed in Tilburg,” MAE reported.
Also, representatives of the diplomatic mission contacted the relevant citizen of Romania to inform about the steps taken in this case, to clarify the situation, respectively, to ensure compliance with his rights.
