Severe weather system “ILINA” predicted to affect our country from tomorrow Monday (04-03-2023) to Tuesday (04-04-2023) with heavy rains and thunderstorms, which in some places will be accompanied by a high frequency of lightning, hail and strong winds, EMY announces worsening weather in emergency bulletin.

A. More detailed forecasts for heavy rains and storms are expected tomorrow Monday (03.04.2023)

a) from the morning hours in the Ionian Sea

b) from noon in Epirus, western Macedonia, western Sterea and western and southern Peloponnese

c) from noon in Thessaly, central Macedonia and central Sterea

d) from noon in eastern Macedonia and gradually until evening hours in Thrace, on the islands of the northern and eastern Aegean and the Dodecanese.

The phenomena in the Ionian Sea, Epirus, western Macedonia, western Sterea, western Peloponnese, Thessaly and central Sterea will weaken in the evening hours.

B. Heavy rains and storms will continue on Tuesday (04-04-2023)

a) until night on the islands of the northern and eastern Aegean and the Dodecanese

b) before noon in central Macedonia, eastern Macedonia and Thrace

c) and in the morning hours they will occur intermittently in the Cyclades, Crete, southern Evia and southern Peloponnese.

Strong southeasterly winds between 7 and 8 Beaufort will prevail in the eastern Aegean from Monday (04-03-2023) until early Tuesday morning (04-04-2023).
