
Two Iraqis, aged 15 and 22, were arrested yesterday afternoon by Agia Barbara security officers on charges of committing serial robberies at metro stations.
In particular, according to EL.AS., as part of the investigation of successive cases of robberies at the stations of Keramikos, Agia Marina, Egaleos and Agia Varvara, a special police team was created to identify and locate the perpetrators.
As regards their modus operandi, the two defendants approached mainly young people inside the precincts and, with the use or threat of violence, took away their money, mobile phones or other valuables.
During the preliminary investigation, five cases of robberies were revealed.
The two arrested were taken to the competent prosecutor’s office.
