
The mayor of the capital, Nikushor Dan, announced that the work on the restoration and strengthening of the Granta bridge will be resumed. The contract for these works was awarded to BOG`ART SRL, worth 54.3 million lei and includes design, implementation and technical assistance services, News.ro reports.
“We are resuming work on the restoration and strengthening of the Grant Bridge. Today, the street administration signed a contract for strengthening and reconstruction of the Grant Bridge. It was awarded to BOG`ART SRL at a cost of 54.3 million lei and includes design, implementation and technical assistance services. Works will be carried out aimed at the support structure of the passage, the restoration of the tram line, the road, as well as the restoration of 6 pillars and the pedestrian sidewalk,” Nikushor Dan wrote on Facebook on Friday.
He also informed that the bridge was completed in 1982 and reconstructed 15 years ago.
“In 2020, restoration work was carried out, but only 35 percent. The completion period is 24 months from the start of work, of which one and a half months is for the development of the technical project, the rest for the actual implementation. The warranty period is 5 years,” Dan added.
