Brothers Andrew and Tristan Tate were released from Metropolitan Police custody on Friday night after three months in preventive detention. “We’re going home,” Andrew Tate said in Romanian, while his brother said the judges had made the right decision, News.ro reported.

Andrew Tate and Tristan Tate left the Central Detention Center a quarter of an hour before midnight after completing the formalities following the decision of the Bucharest Court of Appeal. They were accompanied by a lawyer.

After leaving the prison, not only journalists, but also fans were waiting for them.

Andrew Tate said in Romanian: “We’re going home” and his brother said Friday’s decision was the right one.

“I just want to say that the judges made the right decision today. I respect the decision made. I’m an innocent man and I just want to prove it,” Tristan Tate said.

Both were remanded in custody for three months, starting in December.

The Bucharest Court of Appeal decided on Friday to accept the appeals filed by Emory Andrew Tate III, Tristan Tate, Georgiana Manuela Naghel and Alexandra Luana Radu against the Bucharest court’s March 22 decision to keep them in custody.

The magistrates decided to set aside the impugned sentence in its entirety and, in a retrial, to reject the offer to extend the remand order formulated by DIICOT for the four.

Thus, the Court of Appeal of Bucharest also decided to replace the preventive measure of brothers Tate and Georgiana Manuel Nagel and Alexander Luana Radu with house arrest for a period of 30 days from March 31 to April 29 inclusive.

“During the application of the measure under house arrest, the accused Tate III Emory Andrew, Tate Tristan, Nagel Georgiana Manuel and Radu Alexander Luan are obliged not to leave the houses where they live without the permission of the judicial authority in which the case is being considered. . “Orders the immediate release of the defendants Tate III Andrew, Tate Tristan, Nagel Georgiana Manuela, and Rada Alexandre Luana, pursuant to the warrants of preventive arrest issued by the judge of the previous chamber of the Bucharest Court, unless they are detained or arrested in another matter,” the court minutes read.

The decision of the Bucharest Court of Appeal is final.

Why are the Tate brothers accused?

The Tate brothers were detained and later arrested following five raids on December 29 in Bucharest and Ilfov County at homes belonging to them and two of their accomplices. Later, at the beginning of January, 7 more searches took place in Bucharest, Ilfov and Prahov in the case in which they are being investigated.

“In fact, the 4 suspects (two British nationals and two Romanian nationals) formed an organized crime group to recruit, place and exploit, forcing some women to create pornographic material intended to be shared on website profiles. He would have received considerable sums of money from this activity. Victims were recruited by British nationals by misleading them as to their intention to marry/cohabit and to have genuine feelings of love (the loverboy method).

They were later transported and placed in houses in Ilfov county, where through acts of physical violence and psychological coercion (through intimidation, constant surveillance, control and collection of alleged debts) they were sexually exploited by members of the group, forced to perform pornographic acts with the help of production and distribution through social media platforms of materials of this nature and subordination to the performance of work, in a coercive manner, with the aim of obtaining significant financial benefits consisting of monetary sums obtained as a result of access to materials by users,” the IGPR stated.

Six victims who were sexually exploited by the OZH were identified.

“Regarding the crime of rape, it was stated that in March 2022, the victim was twice forced by a person through physical violence and psychological pressure to have sexual relations. 11 luxury cars owned or used by the suspect were found. 4 suspects were detained, later a preventive measure was chosen in the form of detention,” the source said.
