A judge at the Court of Appeals in Bucharest ordered the temporary arrest for the purpose of extradition of an American citizen who was wanted in the United States of America for committing the crimes of conspiracy to commit mass riots and hooliganism, being one of the founders of an organization that supports the ideology of white supremacy in the United States.

“On March 29, police officers of the Criminal Investigation Department – Prosecution Service and fighters of the Intervention and Special Operations Service found a 33-year-old man, a US citizen, who was on international wanted list in the city of Bucharest. by American judicial authorities for committing crimes of conspiracy to commit mass riots and riots,” said a press release from the General Inspectorate of the Romanian Police (IGPR) sent to Agerpres on Friday.

According to the cited source, American judicial authorities have filed a request for a temporary arrest for the purpose of extradition of the Romanian, from which it follows that between December 2016 and October 2018, in the Central District of California and in other parts of the United States, the man allegedly conspired with by others to participate in political rallies and use combative tactics and physical violence against people and groups that do not support their ideology.

The suspect would be a founding member of a white supremacist organization that would publicly portray itself as a battle-hardened group campaigning for a new nationalist movement of white supremacy and identity.

The man conducted mixed martial arts training for members of the movement, went to two political rallies, where he attacked other people, including a policeman.

“Also, together with other members of the movement, he posted videos and images online of them conducting military training for hand-to-hand combat, interspersed with images and videos of them attacking people at political rallies. , which is accompanied by messages in support of the ideology of white supremacy,” says the quoted source.

After the discovery, the man, who was wanted internationally, was presented to the prosecutor of the Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of Appeal of Bucharest, who ordered to take him into custody, and on March 30, the judge of the Court of Appeal of Bucharest decided on a temporary arrest. for the purpose of extradition.

The American citizen is currently in the custody of the Bucharest Municipal Police Headquarters.
