He found her innocent Gwyneth Paltrow court in Utah over her 2016 skiing accident, which also involved her accuser, retired optician Terry Sanderson.
In fact, the 76-year-old is being asked to pay $1 compensation – which the actress’s side symbolically claimed – as well as her legal costs.
Paltrow was speechless when the court’s decision was announced. She then immediately left the courtroom, although she first stopped where Sanderson was sitting and wished him “all the best,” to which he replied, “Thank you, my dear.”

In an Instagram post, the 50-year-old star thanked the judge and jury, writing that she “feels like agreeing to a false statement compromises my integrity.”
For his part, the prosecutor called the court’s verdict “disappointing”, arguing that Paltrow’s fame helped her emerge victorious.
Chronicles
The skiing accident between the actress and the former optometrist took place at a winter resort in Park City, Utah.
Terry Sanderson, 76, suffered a concussion and fractured four ribs. He also claimed that he suffered brain damage from the accident and for this reason he deserved a $300,000 settlement from Gwyneth Paltrow.
Sanderson’s side said the woman, who turned out to be a famous actress, skied behind a 76-year-old man at high speed and crashed into him. Then the Hollywood star fled the scene, and the elderly man lost consciousness.
Instead, Paltrow’s side claimed that it was Sanderson who ran into the actress, and eventually both fell to the ground. According to the informal “law” of skiing, in the event of an accident, the skier walking behind is to blame.
Test full of virus incidents
The trial of the case began two weeks ago and featured many scenes of endless beauty.
During her testimony, Gwyneth Paltrow described the confrontation with Sanderson almost as sexual assault.
“I was skiing with my two kids when two other skis came between mine, spreading my legs. Then a body pressed against me, and a strange groan was heard. We both fell and Sanderson was on top of me,” the actress said, among other things, to show that she was not to blame for the accident.

She claims that Mr. Sanderson was behind her when they made contact and made a “strange grunting sound”.

“Did you say to Sanderson, ‘You hit me in the back…’ after the accident?” asked one of the lawyers on another occasion. Gwyneth then simply smiled and apologized for the profanity she used.
Funnier were the scenes with one of Sanderson’s lawyers, Kristen Van Orman, literally at a loss for words in front of the Hollywood star during her cross-examination. Among other things, the lawyer expressed her admiration for the height of Gwyneth Paltrow (she is 1.77, if anyone is interested), asked about her style and friendship with Taylor Swift.

Finally, at another moment, the actress’s lawyer offered to treat all the members of the court with food, which, of course, was not accepted.
