
Proceedings of the 25th MIT Global Startup Workshop will take place tomorrow, Thursday, 30.03, and the day after tomorrow, Friday, 31.03 at the Concert Hall in Athens.
The annual Global Technology and Startup Entrepreneurship Conference is being held in Greece for the first time, bringing to our country MIT’s world-renowned expertise in these two fields and creating a knowledge community that provides opportunities for communication and networking.
“This is a unique opportunity to learn from the world’s top technology experts, share invaluable knowledge and network with like-minded people,” says Daniela Gorza, one of the co-directors of MIT GSW. “We aim to make a significant impact by bringing MIT’s high-tech and entrepreneurial expertise to other markets, an experience and expertise that has been very helpful in creating many start-ups at MIT,” notes Farhan Khodai, another co-CEO.
With access to over 15 panel discussions, distinguished speakers, and workshops, attendees will gain the collective knowledge of MIT experts, successful entrepreneurs, and investors. They will also have the opportunity to “get acquainted” with practical experience and share information about the most promising opportunities in the field of technology, as stated in the corresponding message from MITEF Greece.
This conference is expected to give Greece an opportunity to strengthen its position as an emerging global technology hub. The visibility of our country will be huge and global as this conference is held once a year, each time in a different country. Entrepreneurs, students, investors and key stakeholders from around the world will attend, as noted in the same announcement.
In particular, Gerasimos Spiridakis, President of MITEF Greece, stated that “this conference is an invaluable resource for startups that want to develop constructive relationships within the network of the global startup community and make potentially revolutionary changes in their business. Every idea discussed at the conference has the potential to revolutionize a startup. As well as establishing connections with influential people and access to resources.”

In fact, during the two-day conference there will be a Startup Pitch Competition where all competing teams will have the opportunity to be promoted and qualify for cash prizes and free specialized services. All teams that will be selected will have the opportunity to present themselves during the technology presentations of the conference, while in a specially designed space they will present their product / service, which will be pre-selected for participation in the next MITEF accelerator program in October. 2023.
